In 1956, an unknown Detroit street musician called Sam Wilson, nicknamed “One String” Sam walked into Joe’s Record Shop on Hastings Street, Detroit, carrying a plank of wood containing a single string and proceeded to record two songs on his so-called diddley bow. Rarest record on the label and an absolute primitive blues masterpiece!. If you don’t have a spare few thousand dollars for an original 78 then this is the perfect filler until you do. Limited pressing.
