California post-hardcore band Saccharine Trust’s seminal 1981 oddball punk debut Paganicons. One of the greatest of the early SST releases which is impressive considering a catalog which also included onset recordings from Minutemen and Black Flag. One listen and you can clearly here why guitarist Joe Baiza considered his band the black sheep of the label and why famous fans include Kurt Cobain, Buzz Osborne and Sonic Youth. Produced by Spot, Mike Watt and Saccharine Trust and recorded at Media Art Studio in Hermosa Beach in April of 1981.
