The Damned‘s debut album, ‘Damned Damned Damned,’ released in 1977, captured the raw energy of punk. The Damned, the first UK punk band to release a single (‘New Rose’, included here, in October 1976). The album was released on February 18, 1977 by the ground-breaking and irreverent Stiff label. Produced by Nick Lowe, Damned Damned Damned is also the first full length album released by a UK punk group. A stone classic and a much lauded punk masterpiece, driven by power chords, speed and a trashy attitude !
